8x10 photo collages for Hybrid scrap booking.

I put these photo collages together on photoshop to print out as 10x8s. I have a plan to "hybrid" scrap them on 12x12 papers and embellish. I would like to make use of my digital stocks and paper stocks without forsaking either craft.

Photo altered in art rage

I used the palette knife in art rage to move the pixels around. I love these plants not sure what they are though. I took this photo in Altura Gardens in Waitomo 2010.

Finally scrapping the England photos. Its was always easier to leave these ones after Granny and Grandad died. Couldn't really face the emotions. Now I'm used to them being gone. Andrew and I were so lucky to get the chance to go and see them, me for the last time and Andrew for the first. They took us to Windsor to let Andrew have a look, but there was no time to go in as they couldn't have handled all the walking. It didn't matter, we were happy with just seeing the outside. I still have my memories of the school trip I went on, to visit the castle as small child.

On the Roundabout

Paual Kesslering elements and papers. Holliewood Studios Art journalling elements. My first attemp at using the pen tool and the navigator function. It makes extracting really easy. I watched the turorial by Miss Behaving on Deviant scrap and she has a really good technique for extracting little bits at a time.

Holly usng the art history Brush tool

I slightly adapted one of the tutorials from "Photoshop Creative" magazine, to produce this charcoal effect. It was a colour photograph initialy. The tool used was the art history brush. Page 59, issue 69. My picture looks nothing like theirs but I really like it anyway. Plus I learnt a few more things by doing the tutorial.

Friends

I was inspired by the way Hollie of Holliewood studios www.deviantscrap.com made her son look like a stencil. So had a play with the filters in photoshop. I used the stamp filter and played around with brushes, gradients and masks to get this look. Also used a light effects brush that I got from one of my Photoshop Creative magazines-freebees.

Sunday Stroll

We went for a walk around K Road and I took some shots of the church in Pitt street and the Graffitti bombing by the fire station. Just had to throw in the lady and the man for a bit of humour.

Graduation

I was really excited to use the art journalling kits - HOLLIEWOOD STUDIOS from Deviant Scrap. Using a journalling book has lots of scope for writing on a layout. The phrenology stamp, I downloaded free from somewhere. My girls are growing up and my boys are well grown!!
